This watch was produced on The ‘Maslennikov Watch Factory’, that is often referred to as ‘ЗИМ’ (ZIM : ‘Zavod Imeni Maslennikova’). It was located in the town of Samara (previously called Kuibischev) and produced watches under the Trade Name ‘POBEDA’ – Победа.

During second world war this factory was producing military equipment - some of which was rocket artillery ammunition for "Katusha"
